A video message from the superintendent on April 12 court ruling

On Friday, April 12, 2024, former ±«Óãtv bus paraprofessional Tyler Zanella appeared in 8th Judicial District Court for a sentencing hearing.

This is the maximum sentence the court will allow; for a total of 12.5 years. For the entirety of the sentence there will be a no contact order in place for all victims and no contact with anyone under the age of 18, including his own children. ±«Óãtv terminated the former employee immediately upon his arrest on May 24, 2023, and he is not eligible for reemployment in ±«Óãtv.  

±«Óãtv has implemented additional measures to ensure our district is a safe haven for learning and growth. The district¡¯s human resources protocol prohibits the hiring of individuals with any conviction related to child abuse or neglect.
