The Timnath High School girls¡¯ cross country team has etched their name into Colorado history once again, winning the Class 4A State Championship for the second year in a row. Competing in Colorado Springs this November, the team claimed the title with 107 points, showcasing their depth and resilience. Guided by Head Coach Matt Miltenberg, the squad repeated their 2024 championship run with another all-team effort in 2025, proving that every runner mattered in bringing home back-to-back state titles.

The Fossil Ridge High School Marching Band has once again proven its dominance, capturing the Colorado Class 5A State Championship for the fourth consecutive year in a stunning performance at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Scoring 89.550 and sweeping every judged category¡ªmusic, visual, and general effect¡ªthe SaberCats outperformed the competition by 1.1 points. This victory marks their eighth state title in just 14 years, solidifying Fossil Ridge as a true powerhouse in Colorado marching band history.

Larimer County approved more than just improvements to ±«Óãtv buildings when they passed the 2024 mill levy. They also made a direct contribution in classrooms. This includes art classrooms, where funds will create a stronger sense of equity for all students while providing the best equipment for artistic expression.  

With the school year off and running, we are proud of our students for showing up each and every day.

We are fast-approaching an important attendance milestone that occurs every year: the Colorado Department of Education¡¯s official ¡°October Count.¡± October Count measures how many students are enrolled and attending in districts across the state; the official count date is Wednesday, October 1.

The Larimer County Department of Health & Environment is making it easier for families to stay up to date on vaccinations this fall. A series of free and low-cost vaccine clinics will be held at schools and community sites across the county, offering essential immunizations for children and adults.

The clinics are open to children ages 4 and older and their families who are uninsured, underinsured, or enrolled in most Medicaid plans. Services will include:

• Children: All school-required vaccines, depending on supply.

Many of you may have seen reports about today¡¯s shooting at Evergreen High School in Jefferson County. Our hearts are with the students, families, and educators impacted by this tragedy, and with the entire Jeffco Public Schools community.

As educators, parents, and neighbors, we are devastated for the community of Evergreen High School. Moments like this remind us that safety, connection, and care for one another must remain at the center of everything we do in ±«Óãtv.

Students across the ±«Óãtv consistently give their all in the classroom. This academic excellence is evident once again as several ±«Óãtv students have been selected as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. 

With so many exciting things happening across ±«Óãtv, we are once again honored to welcome the local community in to experience the great work taking place in our schools. 

±«Óãtv students continue to excel, with the latest state and national assessment results showing they consistently outperform their peers across Colorado.
